EEPR
The European Energy Programme for Recovery was establish to co-finance EU energy projects that would boost the economic recovery, increase the security of energy supply and contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
EIA
Environmental Impact Assessment. Technical-administrative procedure for verifying the environmental compatibility of a project.
EIS
Environmental Impact Study. Technical document that assess the effects of the proposed project on the environment.
ENTSOG
European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas is an association of Europe's transmission system operators (TSOs).
ESIA
Environmental Social Impact Assessment. Assessment of the possible impact that a proposed project may have on the environment, including natural, social and economic aspects.
FEED
Front End Engineering Design
FID
Final Investment Decision is the irrevocable decision by the Sponsors to construct a Pipeline.
Greek INGS
An Independent Natural Gas System under the Greek Gas Law.
HDD
Horizontal Directional Drilling. Methodology for laying buried pipelines by boring a hole along a predetermined trajectory, inside of which the pipe will be inserted.

IGA
Intergovernmental Agreement is an agreement between two or more countries regarding their support for the implementation of a project.
IGB
Abbreviation for the "Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria", corresponding to the pipeline that will connect Greece and Bulgaria.
IGI
Abbreviation for the "Interconnector Greece-Italy", corresponding to the pipeline that will connect Greece to Italy.
ITGI
Abbreviation for the "Interconnector Turkey-Greece-Italy", regarding the gas corridor between Turkey, Greece and Italy.
J-laying
Method of pipelaying that utilizes an almost vertical launch ramp, making the pipe configuration resemble a ‘J’. This configuration is suited to deep-water pipe laying.
Landfall
Refers to the point where the underwater pipeline reaches the beach below the sea bed.
LNG
Liquefied Natural. Natural gas that has been subjected to high pressure and very low temperatures and stored in a liquid state.
Load Factor
The ratio of average daily deliveries to peak-day deliveries over a given time period.
Market Test
The procedure of a call for a reservation of a gas pipeline capacity by shippers in accordance with EU directive 2009/73.
MATT
The Italian Ministry of the Environment and the Territorial Protection (Ministero per l’Ambiente e per la Tutela del Territorio).
